How to do it

Download Ollama from ollama.com — it installs like any normal app

Open your Terminal (Mac) or Command Prompt (Windows) and type: ollama pull llama3

Wait for the download (about 5GB — make a coffee)

Install Open WebUI by following the one-command install at docs.openwebui.com

Open your browser and go to localhost:3000

Start chatting — it works just like ChatGPT but runs on your computer
Watch out for

Requires at least 8GB of RAM — 16GB recommended for a smooth experience

First response after launch is slow while the model loads — after that it's fast
