Terms of Service
Last updated: March 22, 2026
These terms govern your use of The AI Shed website (theaished.ca) and any services offered through it. The AI Shed is operated by Kelly Waters, based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. By using the site or purchasing a membership, you agree to these terms.
What The AI Shed is
The AI Shed publishes educational content (recipes, guides, and articles) about AI tools for everyday people and small businesses. We also offer paid memberships with additional content and resources, and facilitate bookings with local operators who provide in-person AI setup assistance.
Nothing on this site constitutes professional advice — legal, financial, technical, or otherwise. AI tools change quickly and results will vary. Use your own judgment.
Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that happens under your account. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us at hello@theaished.ca immediately.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a membership.
Memberships
Digital memberships
Digital memberships give you access to premium content and resources on the site. Memberships are billed monthly or annually, as selected at checkout. Prices are in Canadian dollars.
Billing and cancellation
Your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account page — your access continues until the end of the period you've paid for. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
Refunds
If you're not satisfied with a membership purchase, contact us within 7 days of your initial purchase and we'll issue a full refund. After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion. Renewal charges are non-refundable unless required by law.
Price changes
We may change membership pricing. If we increase the price of a plan you're on, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before the new price takes effect.
Operator program
The operator program allows approved individuals to offer local AI setup services under The AI Shed brand in their city. Operators pay a monthly fee for access to the program. Operator memberships are subject to the same billing and cancellation terms above.
Operators are independent contractors, not employees of The AI Shed. The AI Shed is not responsible for the quality, safety, or outcome of services provided by operators. If you have a dispute with an operator regarding a service they provided, please contact us and we will do our best to help resolve it.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate operator access if an operator misrepresents the brand, engages in deceptive practices, or otherwise acts in a way that harms customers or The AI Shed's reputation.
Content and intellectual property
All content on this site — recipes, guides, articles, and other materials — is owned by The AI Shed or its contributors. You may read and share it for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution. You may not republish, sell, or reproduce it in bulk without written permission.
If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, contact us at hello@theaished.cawith details and we'll investigate promptly.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its underlying systems
- Use automated tools to scrape or harvest content in bulk without permission
- Impersonate The AI Shed, its operators, or other users
- Use a membership to resell or redistribute premium content to others
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Third-party services
Some features rely on third-party services (Stripe for payments, etc.). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for how those services operate.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that AI tools will work as described, that the site will be available without interruption, or that any particular outcome will result from following our content.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The AI Shed and Kelly Waters are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, and you consent to jurisdiction there.
